Dear Wegene Supporters,

As the curtain comes down on yet another year, it gives me great pleasure once again to inform you about the successful year we have had. We look forward to a new year with even more possibilities for service that truly make a difference.

Even though this past year has been an exciting successful year for Wegene, we also had a challenging journey. We have witnessed multiple of our sponsored Wegene children graduate with variety of degrees and diplomas (including: accounting, electrical engineering, computer science degrees, and teaching). We also felt so grateful and blessed in finding our graduates great jobs in their related fields. We are also happy and grateful to see few of our sponsored family heads excel in few micro businesses we helped them set up. However, unexpected health issues encountered in few of our families have created some set-backs in few of our sponsored children’s education. We also owe you a debt of gratitude because with your help, we were also able to replace some of the computers, tablets and other electronics that were stolen from our Learning Center at the beginning of 2017.

It’s a great privilege to thank all of you for being a strong source of hope and strength to the Wegene Board and to the families and children sponsored. We feel honored to have a great, self-motivated members, supporters and volunteers to work with. Thanks to your continued support, we have come a long way and aim to go miles ahead in the future. We are so grateful for you and for your trust in us. Thank you for helping us share good news, hope, and opportunity. Your unwavering support helps make everything we do possible.
